Family Time BINGO!

It was another "No TV Day" in our house. Instead, the kids played with toys all day. Thankfully, there was no complaining about it. Thanks, in part, to the Berenstain Bears book "Too Much TV." (If you don't know it, get it! Only about $4.) The kids actually like these days every once in awhile.

When its a No TV Day, Mom and Dad are not allowed to watch the tube either. Afterall, we are setting an example by our actions. Instead of watching the evening news after dinner, we had family game night. BINGO has turned out to be a great game for our family. It has really helped Avery and Mary Hannah with number recognition, attention span, and turn taking. It has also helped to teach them how to be good "losers" and encouraging to the person who wins.

As you can tell from the pile of dishes in the sink, spending time with the family was the priority. Sometimes the housework just has to wait! These moments are way too precious to miss!
