School Days are Coming to a Close

School is almost over. Summer is around the corner. We have a count down on our calendar. Avery and Mary Hannah ask me every morning if today is my last day at work. They want their mommy at home ... and Mommy wants to be home, too!
I am going to be a stay at home mom again, and I can't be more excited! Its my desire, my calling. I love my family.
I am looking forward to starting The Hughes Academy (haha). It will be wonderful to continue practicing reading with Avery and Mary Hannah. I can't wait to take day trips to the library or the zoo. Or even just have a picnic at the park. Maybe we could even pop in for a surprise lunch with Daddy at the office. Whatever we do, I'll be home with my babies. And that makes me happy!

Minnie Mouse Shirt

This one was the most fun to make! The polka dot Minnie Mouse bow was surprisingly easy, so I made a coordinating hair bow for Mary Hannah. Then I got super excited for the grosgrain ribbon ruffles at the bottom. (It was cold out so she wore a white long sleeve shirt underneath. But the Minnie shirt is just a short sleeve red cotton). Only little girls can be this cute! Mary Hannah loved wearing it, by the way. =)

Elephant Shirt

MH loves her new elephant shirt. And I have to admit, I do too! It was fun picking out the fabric and drawing the pattern. It was hard to take some pictures of a moving target. But here are a couple. The boy's version is yet to come. It is made of blue and brown. Oh so cute! I think this is going to be a great hobby!

Turkey Shirts

My little turkeys







I was feeling very crafty this week and decided to make some Turkey Shirts for my own little turkeys. They were a hit! I ended up making several to fill some "orders" for my girlfriends. I have already begun making shirts for the upcoming holidays along with some super cute everyday designs ... all of which will be available to order soon. I will post some pics of the samples soon.
