We celebrated Valentine's Day today because we will be with the youth group tomorrow night. Avery and I made pizzas for lunch. He had a great time sprinkling the cheese just like he learned from the Food Network (sometimes we watch it together during lunch). He chose to add "tatoes" (tomatoes) and onions to his pizza (although when he took one bite of pizza with onion he spit it out... ha!)It was adorable watching him imitate the chefs as he prepared the food!
Then we made a special dinner for daddy. Paula Deen's chicken pot pie. After dinner, we exchanged Valentines and had a very yummy Carvel Icecream Cake. Heart shaped, of course. It was great to teach Avery and Mary Hannah that small expressions of love are much appreciated. Even Mary Hannah enjoyed "reading" her card! We love to celebrate the small things in our house!
