Overcoming Fears

Avery is a sensitive kid. He is very cautious, and is slow to try new things if he feels at all unsure about it. The carousel was one of those things. But today he tried it. And he liked it. And as we were getting off the horses he asked, "Mommy, we do it again?" Today he tried something new, and overcame his fear. Great job, little man!

Rachel said...: Way to go Avery! I understand what a big deal this is and we celebrate trying new things to with Rose! However I know Pearl (and probably Mary Hannah) are a little more daring. Pearl has now fears and climbs up any huge ladder at the playground this of course causes me lots of fear!; June 6, 2008 at 9:53 AM
