Avery's Birthday Celebration

Avery's 4th birthday is just around the corner. St. Patrick's Day, to be exact. This year he chose to celebrate his birthday with Mickey Mouse. We took the fam up to Disney World and had a wonderful time! The weather couldn't have been nicer. It was a beautiful 80 and breezy.

Our family ate a special breakfast with the characters at Chef Mickey's. The kids loved it! They stuffed their little bellies with whatever breakfast foods they could get their hands on. Fruit, bacon, pancakes, gummy bears, and a birthday cupcake! There was even a birthday celebration song that everyone got up and danced to. It was so cute as our excited Avery asked, "Mommy, are they singing to me?" Of course, I said "Yes!"

Prior to the trip, Avery made a list of all the rides he would like to enjoy. At the top of the list was Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, "The People Mover" (the affectionate name my family has given the extremely relaxing Transit Authority ride), Indy Cars, and Pirates of the Caribbean, just to name a few. The list was very long! We plotted them on the Magic Kingdom map and crossed them off as we did them. It was quite a challenge to get to everything he wanted to do! The Spring Break crowds were growing bigger by the minute. We began with 3 maps full of rides, one for each day we were there, but had to narrow it down to two. We were able to accomplish a lot, but we left with the promise that we would be back to finish off Avery's list.

Here's Avery with his map. He loved the challenge of figuring out where we were.

Avery was sad to go. In fact, he told me that he wants to live at Disney World. Instead, he got to take a bit of Disney home with him. Because he loves the monorail, we got him his own. I can hear Avery and MH working on it now as I type this blog... How sweet it is to be a child!
