Musical Man

If you have been following our blog, you may have seen this video. Avery had just received a little guitar from his great grandma. It was a big hit. He loved to play it, and tune it up just like Daddy. Here he is singing "Old Mac Donald." He was probably just barely 2 years old.



Then it was on to a little Guitar Hero practice. Avery would rock out to "Slow Ride"... until he got booed off the virtual stage, that is...


And then Avery started singing along with songs he heard in church. "Here is Our King" is one of his absolute favorites. He learned it by watching Daddy, and would ask repeatedly for daddy to play with him.




Like a fish to water, Avery felt at home leading worship with Chris. He loved to sing his favorite song on stage. The very first words out of his mouth when the song was over were "Do it again, Daddy?" He has only done this one time. Since then he has developed a bit of a shy bone. But the guitar still comes out at home!
